Pick-Your-Own Apples
Our pick-your-own apple season generally begins a few weeks after apples first become available in our market. In most years, apple picking begins in August and continues through the fall, with picking available on most weekends through the final weekend of October.
Our apples cultivars ripen at slightly different times year to year and there may occasionally be a weekend in August or September when apple picking is closed. This can happen if we finish picking one cultivar and the next variety is not quite ready to harvest.
By the final weekend of September, we are normally reaching the peak of our apple season. From that point through October, we expect to have pick-your-own apples available every weekend.
In years with a particularly light apple crop, we can occasionally be picked out of apples before the end of October, but this is not common.

Apple Picking Frequently Asked Questions
How does pricing work for pick-your-own? Anyone over the age of 2 pays an orchard entry admission. After picking, apples are purchased by the pound. During our pumpkin patch weekends, orchard entry is included with any admission as long as apples are still available for harvesting.
What apples will I be able to pick? This can change week to week as certain areas get picked out so it is best to call us or check our social media to see what apples will be available for picking.
Can I picnic in the orchard or eat the apples while I’m picking? Due to food safety regulations, we require all visitors to comply with the same rules our employees must follow. This means that we cannot allow any eating in the crop growing areas. We do have picnic tables near the market where a group can eat.
Can I bring my pet? We cannot allow any pets to enter the orchard or market. Only ADA trained service dogs are allowed.
How does the apple picking work? A group will first check-in first at our market and pay for admission. The exact order of the next events may change depending on which orchard we are picking in but a group will read the rules, receive picking buckets, wash their hands, and proceed to the designated rows. After a group is done harvesting they will return for the apples to be weighed and pay for them. After paying the apples can be taken home in the provided picking bucket. Now the apples are ready to be enjoyed fresh or in a delicious dessert!
What should I bring? The best things to consider bringing would be comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, water, and a hat or sunglasses.
What happens if it rains?
If the rain passes quickly or is only a light sprinkle, then we should be able to allow picking. If there is heavy rain or lightning, we will pause apple picking and ask everyone to seek shelter at our market until conditions improve.
Our picking buckets are made of cardboard and cannot hold up well in the rain, so we may need to pause picking even if the weather is otherwise manageable.
